Creating a Multisite for New Players in the Automotive Local Market

At the beginning of this project, we only had to design and develop a single website, for one of the brands represented by the client. Rather, it was a redesign, as part of a marketing strategy to penetrate the market.

The first site was successfully completed and opened the door to do the same with the other brands and areas represented by the client. This included some city vehicle brands, suburban vehicles, cargo vehicles, heavy machinery, agricultural machinery, motorcycles and the company's main site.

So the process began by seeking a unifying concept for all sites to follow a similar line, respecting their particularities. To do this, I designed a simple structure that allowed access to all sites and their brands by sharing some representative elements of the client's brand. This can be seen in some of the wireframes.

wireframe wireframe wireframe wireframe

The graphic proposals aimed to highlight the features of the vehicles through large and attractive images, thinking of eye-catching and interactive websites.

That experience of discovering a new brand was powerful enough to generate the action of quoting or getting more information through different CTA on each site, which fulfilled the function of capturing information from potential customers to support the marketing strategy in future email marketing actions, promotions, offers and direct contact.

The solution that seemed most appropriate at the time, was to create a multisite on Wordpress that would allow the development and maintenance of each subsite to be much more dynamic, taking advantage of the platform's features, and also to create a special access for the client to obtain the information captured in the DB.

*Currently, none of the versions seen here can be accessed, as the company updates its sites frequently, and also no longer has representation of some of these brands.

Creating a Multisite for New Players in the Automotive Local Market

This was one of the largest web projects I have worked on, as it involved designing, developing, and maintaining 9 websites for different automotive brands that were entering the Chilean local market. It was a challenge on both a creative and commercial level, as the main focus of this project was to compete with established traditional brands that had been present in the market for years.

The Challenges and Rewards of Owning a Digital Agency

After having the experience of working in different advertising agencies, as an Art Director and Web designer, there came a point where I could clearly see two things, first, I didn't like the work model of traditional agencies and second, there was a growing need for digital services, which were mostly outsourced to external freelancers. So, I knew what I had to do, and together with a couple of colleagues, we took the leap of faith and created our own digital agency.

Initially we became the digital service providers for several local agencies that required digital services, especially web design and development. In a way, we were still doing the same thing, but in our own office. We had to get our own clients and stop being intermediaries.

So the process began by seeking a unifying concept for all sites to follow a similar line, respecting their particularities. To do this, I designed a simple structure that allowed access to all sites and their brands by sharing some representative elements of the client's brand. This can be seen in some of the wireframes.

Newsletters, micro web applications and a ton of display ads for a local bank client

Working for a bank client requires a constant review and update of information, making it a very challenging and demanding job in terms of graphic design. This includes creating micro web applications, digital campaigns, and weekly newsletters that need to be visually appealing and easy to understand for customers, all while ensuring a positive user experience. It is also important to consider issues such as device compatibility and the protection of private data when designing for the banking industry. Ensuring the delivery of clear and accurate information is crucial in this field.

Redesign and creation of an e-commerce site for a natural products company

In first place, the previous design of the site did not accurately represent the brand's image and was not comparable to the innovative proposals of the competition. Secondly, the site needed to be updated with more content and function as a quoting tool through an e-commerce system. So, the ultimate goal was to increase sales and web presence. To achieve these goals, I proposed implementing a self-administered site that the client could manage on their own, with access to static information and the ability to request quotes.

In one of my many agency jobs, I was asked to design and build a VIDEO ON DEMAND portal for a telecommunications client. Learning to develop on that platform was irritating at times, but after a couple of days, we became masters of standard resolution.
